About the Role

Our hiring partner is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers building and scaling products within a growing fintech organization.

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role. You will develop engineers, drive execution, contribute to technical decisions, and help the team build reliable, scalable software. You will work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to turn business needs into effective technical solutions.

The role is well suited to an engineering leader who enjoys operating in a fast-moving environment and is comfortable balancing people leadership with technical depth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on priorities, planning, and technical direction.
• Guide architecture and technical decisions across the team's systems and services.
• Ensure the team delivers reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable software.
• Stay technically engaged through design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and hands-on problem solving when needed.
• Establish strong engineering practices around testing, observability, deployment, and production reliability.
• Help evolve CI/CD and cloud infrastructure practices as the organization scales.
• Support effective adoption of AI/LLM-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Contribute to hiring, team growth, performance management, and engineering culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, productivity, and quality.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading or managing engineers.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience with modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating applications and services on AWS.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience working in fintech, payments, banking, or another complex, highly reliable technology environment.
• Experience leading engineers in a startup or high-growth environment is a strong plus.
• Comfortable discussing architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and engineering trade-offs.
• Experience using AI/LLM-assisted development tools or helping engineering teams adopt them.
• Strong communication and people leadership skills.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy and ambiguity in a growing organization.

Location & Work Authorization

This position is based in Miami, Florida and follows a hybrid work model. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Candidates who are not currently located in the Miami area must be willing to relocate to Miami.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must have existing U.S. work authorization that does not require employer sponsorship.
