Senior Technical Delivery & Integration Specialist

We are an on-demand engineering and technology partner that provides clients with access to a network of software developers, designers, data and AI specialists, and project leads. Rather than operating as a traditional external vendor, our teams work closely within client organizations to help them solve technical challenges and deliver projects effectively.

About the Role

This position has two main components.

Approximately 60% of your time will be embedded with one of our clients, a company that manages donor acquisition and recurring giving programs for charities across Canada and the United States. You will act as the technical bridge between their nonprofit customers and development team, primarily supporting payment processor integrations and new customer onboarding. The client will be introduced during the interview process.

The remaining 40% will focus on delivery management across multiple client engagements. You will work alongside engineers to manage planning, backlogs, timelines, communication, and delivery for a portfolio of active projects.

At the core of both responsibilities is the ability to translate business and customer needs into clear technical requirements—and translate technical requirements into clear, actionable questions for customers.

Embedded Client Responsibilities

Customer-Facing Integration Support

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for nonprofit customers during payment processor migrations and new platform integrations, including Stripe, Fundraise Up, Engaging Networks, BBMS, and Luminate Online.

  • Guide customers through required integration configurations, including API key creation, webhook setup, permissions, test environments, and PCI compliance requirements.

  • Provide support through screen sharing, written documentation, and direct technical guidance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer questions that could otherwise delay integrations or require significant developer involvement.

  • Focus particularly on non-hosted, PCI-compliant payment processors where configuration is more complex and hands-on support is required.

Developer Liaison & Data Preparation

  • Ensure development teams receive complete, accurate, and properly formatted information before implementation begins.

  • Translate technical questions from developers into clear, actionable requests for customers, and communicate customer responses back to the engineering team.

  • Coordinate integration schedules around both customer availability and engineering capacity.

  • Identify and escalate blockers before they affect delivery timelines.

Process Development & Standardization

  • Collaborate with developers to document standardized procedures for payment processor integrations.

  • Create and maintain onboarding checklists, data collection templates, configuration guides, and other supporting documentation.

  • Identify recurring patterns and opportunities for automation, self-service tools, or process improvements.

  • Monitor changes to payment APIs, administration interfaces, and compliance requirements and update internal processes accordingly.

Account & Relationship Support

  • Partner with account managers and directors to align technical integration timelines with campaign launches and customer expectations.

  • Participate in onboarding meetings and quarterly business reviews where payment processing is relevant.

  • Escalate recurring or systemic integration issues when they create customer experience, capacity, or delivery risks.

Delivery Management Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery across a portfolio of active client engagements, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, story pointing, and estimation in collaboration with engineers.

  • Break client requirements into well-defined epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Own the communication cadence with clients, including recurring meetings, progress updates, and early communication around scope or timeline changes.

  • Monitor project effort and capacity, identifying potential scheduling issues before they impact delivery.

  • Coordinate additional specialists from the broader contractor network as project requirements change and ensure they are quickly brought up to speed.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation so important context is preserved through team changes, scaling, or project pauses.

  • Identify recurring delivery challenges and turn them into broader process improvements rather than solving the same problem repeatedly across different accounts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience working with payment processing platforms such as Stripe, Fundraise Up, Engaging Networks, BBMS, Luminate Online, or comparable systems in a technical support, implementation, or configuration capacity.

  • Understanding of PCI compliance requirements, particularly for non-hosted payment processing environments.

  • Ability to read and understand API documentation, configure webhooks, and navigate platform administration interfaces independently.

  • Experience managing software delivery, including backlogs, sprint planning, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to communicate timeline or delivery risks directly and professionally.

  • Comfortable managing multiple client timelines simultaneously with limited supervision and prioritizing work based on business impact.

Preferred

  • Experience working within the nonprofit fundraising sector, particularly donor acquisition, recurring giving, or donor management.

  • Familiarity with CRM and fundraising platforms commonly used by Canadian and US charities, such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce NPSP, Engaging Networks, Fundraise Up, Evergiving, or Made Media.

  • Experience working in an agency, consultancy, professional services, or embedded delivery environment.

  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and data formats commonly used in payment and CRM integrations.

  • Experience creating technical documentation, process guides, and customer-facing instructions.

  • Familiarity with project and delivery tools such as ClickUp, Jira, or Linear.

How the Role Works

On the embedded side, you will work closely with the client's customer-facing team rather than sitting directly within their technology organization. Integration timelines are therefore influenced by customer readiness, campaign schedules, and technical requirements.

You will be responsible for identifying onboarding friction, helping customers overcome technical obstacles, and ensuring the development team has everything needed to move forward. The client's internal technology team will retain technical governance, making strong communication and coordination essential.

For the broader delivery responsibilities, you will work across multiple client engagements. A delivery lead will help establish priorities across the portfolio and resolve competing demands when both sides of the role require attention.

You will remain an employee of our organization while working closely and directly within the client's business.
